Beginning Bead
Stringing
Learn to knot between
beads so semi-precious stones and pearls are protected from rubbing
against each other or from spilling across the room if the strand ever
breaks. Use sterling or gold French coil to attach the clasp for a
professional finish to any necklace.
Available kit for $25:
The kit includes rose quartz 8mm beads, silk beading thread, sterling or
gold filled clasp, French coil and knotting tweezers. Additional beads
may be purchased in class and added to the design. |

Beaded Lace Collar
Necklace
This lacy effect is
created with the vertical netting stitch done in small beads with a
needle and thread. A simple closure is made with a larger bead and a
loop of small beads. Freshwater teardrop pearls are added for a striking design on the
bottom edge. The technique can be used for edging on scarves and
clothes. |
